41:1 Եւ Մշկան ոմն անուն, մի ի նախարարացն Պարսից, եւ նա եկեալ ուղղէր ճակատս ընդ թագաւորին Արշակայ:

41:1 A certain one of the Iranian naxarars named Mshkan came to fight king Arshak:

41:2 Ապա զօրավարն Հայոց Վասակ ճակատէր զզօրսն Հայոց ընդդէմ նոցա. եւ դէմ յանդիման մեծաւ բնութեամբ միմեանց յարձակէին:

41:2 But the general of Armenia, Vasak, put the Armenian troops before him. With great ferocity they fought each other:

41:3 Եւ յաղթահարէր զզօրսն Պարսից գունդն հայաստան. սատակէին, եւ ոչ մի ի նոցանէն ոչ ապրեցուցանէր. եւ յանկանէ յանուանէ զՄշկանն սպանանէին, եւ Մերուժանն փախչէր:
