18:1 Իսկ ի [ՆԼԶ] թուականին Աբլհաճ որդին Ռովդայ, ամիրայ Ատրպատականի, [ՃՌ] պարսիկ զաւրու գայ ի վերայ Աբուտլփոյ, հանէ ի նմանէ զքաղաքսն Սալարին. յաւարի առեալ զաշխարհն նորա զԳողթն՝ գայ հասանէ ի Դուին քաղաք եւ առնու զնա, խնդրէ հարկս զանցեալ ամացն ի Հայոց. զոր ընդդէմ յուղարկեալ զհարկսն թագաւորն Սմբատ մեծամեծ ընչիւք՝ դարձոյց:

18:1 In [436=987], Ablhaj, son of Rovid (or Rovand), Amir of Atrpatakan, at the head of [100,000] Persian troops, attacking Abultup, took away (some) of the cities of Salar from him, betraying his possession, Gokhtn, to robbery; (then) he reached the city of Dvin, took it and demanded tribute from the Armenians for the past years. King Smbat, having sent him a tribute (required by him) along with large gifts, (forced him) to return back:
