15:0 Concerning Aspurak, chief of the bishops:

15:1 Եւ էր գլխաւոր եպիսկոպոսաց Հայոց Ասպուրակ. այր սուրբ եւ բարէպաշտօն, երկիւղած յԱստուծոյ եւ ի մարդկանէ:

15:1 The chief of the Armenian bishops was Aspurak, a blessed and devout person, pious toward God and mankind:

15:2 Բայց ոչ ինչ կարէր յանդիմանութեամբ խօսել ընդ ումեք. այլ ինքն ի լռութեան էր եւ ի համեստութեան ի զգաստութեան ի պարկեշտութեան. ի պահս եւ յաղօթս յամենայն ժամ աղաչէր զԱստուած:

15:2 But he was unable to reproach anyone, though he himself dwelled in silence, modesty, sensitivity, and propriety, beseeching God with fasts and prayers every hour:

15:3 Բայց ի հանդերձն զգենլոյ` ըստ կրօնիցն Զաւինայ գնայր նա. ագանէր ղամղայեալս եւ ժապաւինեալս:

15:3 But as regards clothing, he followed Zawen’s example. He wore laced and embroidered garments:

15:4 Բայց էր սա այր քաղցր եւ խոնարհ, բարերար եւ մարդասէր զամենայն աւուրս կենաց իւրոց:

15:4 Nonetheless, all the days of his life he was mild, humble, benevolent, and humane:
