26:1 Վասն երկիւղի կասկածանացն Աժդահակայ ի միաբանութենէ սիրոյն Կիւրոսի եւ Տիգրանայ:

 26:1 Concerning the fear and doubt caused Azhdahak by the alliance between Cyrus and Tigran:

26:2 Բայց էր նիւթ այսպիսւոյ խոհականութեան դաշնաւորութիւն մտերմութեանն` որ ի Կիւրոսէ առ Տիգրան. յորմէ բազում անգամ եւ ախտ քնոյ ի բաց փախուցեալ լինէր յԱժդահակայ յիշատակաւս այսուիկ. եւ խորհրդակցաց իւրոց անդուլ առնէր հարցումն վասն այսպիսւոյ պատճառի. «Ո՞րպիսի հնարիւք լուծանել կարասցուք, ասէ, զկապ սիրոյ պարսկայնոյն եւ հայկազինն բազմաբիւրաւորի:
