20:1 Այլ քաջն զօրավարն սպարապետն Հայոց լի էր քինիւ մեծաւ եւ բազում նախանձու զամենայն աւուրս կենաց իւրոց, եւ միամտութեամբ եւ արդար վաստակով ջանայր հանապազ եւ վաստակէր ի վերայ թագաւորութեանն Հայոց աշխարհին:

20:1 But the brave general sparapet of Armenia was full of vengeance, and all the days of his life he was very zealous and with just labor tried always loyally to work for the kingdom of the land of Armenia:

20:2 Զտիւ եւ զգիշեր կայր յաշխատութեանն. ջանայր եւ ճգնէր կալ ի ճակատու պատերազմին, եւ ոչ թողոյր բնաւ ամենեւին եւ ոչ քան զկորի մի գետին ի սահմանաց երկրին Հայոց ուրեք վտարել. ի վերայ աշխարհին կեալ, եւ ի մեռանել ի վերայ անուանն քաջութեան, ի վերայ բնակ տերանց, եւ ի վերայ բնակչաց աշխարհին, ի վերայ քրիստոնէութեանն հաւատոյ, ի վերայ հաւատացեալ յԱստուած եւ ի Քրիստոս մկրտեալ ժողովրդոց, ի վերայ եկեղեցեաց, եւ ի վերայ նուիրեալ սպասուց, ի վերայ վկայարանացն Քրիստոսի, ի վերայ ուխտի Աստուծոյ, ի վերայ քերց եւ եղբարց, ի վերայ մերձաւորաց տոհմին, ի վերայ բարեկաց բարեկիր բարեկամաց հանապազ կայր զօրավարն Մուշեղ ի նահատակութեան պատերազմին, զանձն փոխանակ առնել աշխարհին. եւ յանձն իւր անխայէր ի մեռանել, զամենայն աւուրս կենաց իւրոց առաջի իւրոց բնակ տէրանցն արշակունւոց վաստակէր:

20:2 He worked day and night. He strived and labored in warfare, and did not permit even a grain to be taken from the borders of the country of Armenia. He lived for the land, and would die for the reputation of bravery, and for the native lords, the inhabitants of the land, the Christian faith, the baptized folk who believe in God and Christ, for the churches, for their consecrated ornaments, for the martyria of Christ, for the covenant of God, for the sisters and brothers, for the relatives of his tohm, and close friends. General Mushegh was always in heroic war, and was willing to give his life for the land. He did not spare his life, but all the days of his life he labored for his native lords, the Arsacids:
