21:0 About Nerses, chief-bishop of Armenia, the kind of man he was and about the great marvels he performed:

21:1 Այլ եպիսկոպոսապետն Հայոց Ներսէս շինէր զամենայն աւերեալսն երկրին Հայոց. յանձն առնէր եւ մխիթարէր, դարմանէր եւ տեսուչ լինէր ամենայն աղքատաց. եւ զօրկունս եւ զաղքատս հանգուցանէր:

21:1 The archbishop of Armenia, Nerses, was rebuilding all the ruined places in the country of Armenia. He took the initiative, consoled, provisioned and was a supervisor of all the poor, and gave repose to the lepers and the poor:

21:2 Եւ շինէր զեկեղեցիս ընդ ամենայն տեղիս, եւ զամենայն կործանեալսն կանկնէր. եւ զամենայն կարգսն տապալեալ ուղղէր եւ նորոգէր:

21:2 He built churches everywhere, and he restored all the destroyed ones. All of the overturned orders, he corrected and renewed:

21:3 Շինէր եւ հաստատէր, խրատէր եւ յանդիմանէր. բազում առնէր նշանս եւ զօրութիւնս մեծամեծս եւ բազում բժշկութիւնս սքանչելեաց:

21:3 He confirmed, advised, reproached, and he wrought many signs of very great powers, and much healing, miraculously:

21:4 Եւ յօրէնսն սաստէր մեծապէս. եւ զոր օրհնէր` օրհնէր, եւ զոր անիծանէր` անիծեալ լինէին:

21:4 He greatly strengthened the laws, whomever he blessed was blessed; whomever he cursed, was cursed:

21:5 Եւ բազմացոյց զկարգս պաշտօնէից յամենայն տեղիս իշխանութեանն ի սահմանացն Հայոց, եւ յամենայն գաւառս կացոյց տեսուչս եպիսկոպոսս. եւ հանապազ զգուշանայր տեսչութեանն իւրոյ եւ իշխանութեան, որչափ եկաց նա ժամանակս:

21:5 He increased the orders of clerics in all places in the boundaries of the sway of Armenia. He set up supervisory bishops in all the districts. As long as he lived, he constantly paid attention to his superintendency and authority:
