25:0 Գալն Փոկասու-Վարդայ յեզր ծովուն զաւրաւք, եւ ելանելն Վասլի եւ սպանանելն զնա:

25:0 Bardas Phokas, at the head of his army, comes to the seashore; Basil comes out to meet him and kills him:

25:1 Իսկ Փոկասու-Վարդայ արձակեալ յինքենէ զզաւրսն Վրաց, եւ ինքն ամենայն զաւրաւքն Յունաց խաղայ յեզր ծովուն:

25:2 Իսկ ի գալ ամին միւսոյ, մինչդեռ գարնանային էր ժամանակն, թագաւորն Վասիլ հանդերձ եղբարբն Կոստանդեաւ եւ ամենայն զաւրաւքն արտաքս ելեալ, յերկուս բաժանեալ զզաւրսն, մասն մի ընդ ծով առաքէ ի վերայ բանակին Վարդայ, որք եկեալ հրով լուցին զնաւս նորա յեզր ծովուն:

25:2 With the onset of the next year - it was still spring time - King Basil, accompanied by his brother (his), Constantine, and the whole army, having stepped out, divided him into two parts, of which he sent one across the sea to the camp of Bardas, which, having arrived, put it on fire his ships, (standing) at the seaside:

25:3 Եւ ինքն թագաւորն ցամաքաւն եկեալ մերձենայր ի բանակն. եւ ի լուցանելն նաւացն, զի զայն նշանակ տուեալ էր, հնչեցուցանել հրամայէր զպատերազմական փողսն. եւ շփոթեալ բանակին Վարդայ՝ ահաբեկ լինէին՝ ի
փախուստ դառնալով:

25:3 the king himself approached the camp from land. As soon as the ships were engulfed in flames - for this was to be a signal - he ordered the trumpets of war to be blown, and the whole camp of Bardas, in confusion, turned to flight:

25:4 Մեռաւ եւ ինքն՝ Վարդ բռնակալ թագաւորն, չարաչար մահուամբ ի [ՆԼԸ] թուականին:

25:4 Here King Bardas himself died a cruel death:
