13:1 Առնէր պատերազմ ընդ երկիրն Աղուանից. հարկանէր զնոսա ի հարուածս անհնարինս:

13:1 He made war against the Aghuanian country, striking them with unbelievable blows:

13:2 Եւ թափէր ի նոցանէ բազում գաւառս, զոր հատեալ էր նոցա ի նոցանէն. զՈւտի, զՇակաշէն եւ զձորն Գարդմանայ, զԿողթ եւ այլ որ շուրջն էին զնովաւ սահմանք գաւառք:

13:2 He took many districts from them, which they had taken from the Armenians: Uti, Shakashen, Gardmanajor, Koght, and the districts surrounding them:

13:3 Եւ զԿուր գետ` որպէս եւ յառաջն լեալ էր, ընդ երկիրն Աղուանից եւ ընդ երկիրն իւրեանց սահման արարեալ կացուցանէին. եւ ի գլխաւորացն բազումս սպանանէին. եւ զմնացորդսն ի հարկի կացուցանէին, եւ պանդանդս ի նոցանէ առնուին:

13:3 And he established the Kura river as the boundary between the country of Aghuania and themselves, as it had been previously. He killed many of the principal people, placing the remainder under taxation, and taking hostages from them:
