36:0 Յաղագս անմտութեան կարծեաց ընդանեացն Մուշեղի, եւ այլ մարդկանն:

36:0 About the foolish opinions held by Mushegh’s family and other folk:

36:1 Եւ եղեւ իբրեւ տարան զմարմինն սպարապետին Մուշեղի ի տուն իւր առ ընտանիս իւր, ոչ հաւատային ընդանիք նորա մահուն նորա, թէպէտ եւ տեսանէին զգլուխ նորուն զատ ի մարմնոյն անտի:

36:1 When they had taken the body of sparapet Mushegh to his tun, to his family, his family did not believe his death, despite the fact that they could see his head separated from his body:

36:2 Զի ասէին. Դորա յանթիւ ճակատ մտեալ էր, եւ վէր երբէք չէր առեալ. ոչ նետ մի դիպեցաւ երբէք, եւ ոչ այլոց զինու խոցեալ է զդա:

36:2 They note: “He has been in countless battles and never received a wound. No arrow has ever struck him, nor has anyone’s weapon pierced him:

36:3 Իսկ կէսք յառնելոյ ակն ունէին նմա. մինչեւ զգլուխն անդէն ի կոճեղն կարեալ կցեցին, եւ հանին եդին ի տանիսն աշտարակի միոյ. ասէին` թէ վասն զի այր քաջ էր, առլեզք իջանեն եւ յարուցանեն զդա:

36:3 Half of them expected him to resurrect, so they sewed the head back onto the torso and placed it on the roof of a tower, saying: “Because he was a brave man, the arhlezk will descend and cause him to arise:

36:4 Պահապան կային, եւ ակն ունէին յառնելոյ, մինչեւ նեխեցաւ մարմինն:

36:5 Ապա իջուցին յաշտարակէ անտի, եւ լացին թաղեցին զնա որպէս օրէն էր:

36:5 Then they brought him down from the tower, and wept over and buried him, as was the proper way:
