29:1 Եւ արդ լինի համար ամաց հաւատոց երանելւոյն ամք քառասուն եւ հինգ, եւ ի դպրութենէն Հայոց մինչեւ ցվախճան սրբոյն՝ ամք երեսուն եւ հինգ, որք համարին այսպէս:

29:1 And thus the blessed one’s years of faith were forty-five, and the period from the creation of the Armenian alphabet to his death, thirty-five years, which is computed as follows:

29:2 թագաւորեալ Կրմանայ Պարսից արքայի ամս վեց. եւ Յազկերտի ամս քսան եւ մի եւ Վռամայ ութ եւ տասն, եւ յառաջնումն ամի երկրորդ Յազկերտի որդւոյ Վռամայ վախճանեցաւ երանելին:

29:2 The Persian king Krman [Bahrain IV] reigned six years and Yazdigird, twenty-one years, and Vram eighteen years, and the Saint died in the first year of Vram’s son, Yazdigird second:

29:3 Եւ արդ առնու համար ամաց սրբոց հաւատոց ի չորրորդում ամէն Կրմանայ արքայի մինչեւ ցառաջին ամն երկրորդ Յազկերտի որդւոյ Վռամայ, եւ դպրութեանն Հայոց յութերորդ ամէ Յազկերտի առեալ սկիզբն:

29:3 Thus, the years of service in the holy faith began on the fourth year of King Krman up to the first year of Vram’s son Yazdigird [II], and the Armenian alphabet was created on the eighth year of Yazdigird I:

29:4 Եւ Քրիստոսի մարդասիրին փառք յաւիտեանս. ամէն:
