3:51 Ետ պատասխանի անդրէն պատանեակն եւ ասէ. «Ընդէ՞ր, արքայ, ցայդ վայր միայն ետուր ընթեռնուլ. այլ յառաջ եւս մատո զկարդացումն, եւ լսես անդ զյարութիւնն, զյայտնութիւնն առ բազումս, զվերացումն յերկինս, զնստելն ընդ աջմէ Հաւր, զխոստումն երկրորդ գալստեանն՝ զհրաշակերտ յարութիւնն առնելով բոլորեցունց. զհամառաւտ հատուցմունսն արդար դատաստանին:

3:51 Then the young man replied, saying: “Why, O king, did you have them read only to that place? But have the reading prolonged and you will hear of his resurrection, his appearance to many, his ascension to heaven, his sitting at the right hand of the Father, the promise of his Second Coming when he will effect the miraculous resurrection of all, and the summary compensation of his just judgment:

3:52 Իբրեւ լուաւ զայս թագաւորն, ի խոր խոցեալ՝ վեր ի վերոյ ծիծաղեցաւ եւ ասէ. «Այդ ամենայն խաբէութիւն է:

3:52 When the king heard this he was deeply smitten, but outwardly he laughed and note: “All that is fraud:

3:53 Ետ պատասխանի զինուորն Քրիստոսի եւ ասէ. «Եթէ հաւատարիմ են քեզ մարմնաւոր չարչարանքն նորա, հաւատարմագոյն եւս լիցի քեզ երկրորդ ահաւոր գալուստն նորա:

3:53 The soldier of Christ replied and note: “If his bodily sufferings are credible to you, even more credible to you should be his awesome Second Coming:

3:54 Եւ զայս լսելով թագաւորին՝ բորբոքեցաւ իբրեւ զհուր հնոցին ի Բաբիլոն, մինչ եւ իւրքն իսկ անդէն դեռ եւս իբրեւ զքաղդէացիսն այրեցեալ լինէին:

3:54 When the king heard this, he blazed up like the fire of the furnace in Babylon, until his own people around him were consumed like the Chaldaeans:

3:55 Յայնժամ զբոլոր բարկութիւն սրտմտութեանն եհեղ յայրն երանելի, որում անուն էր Գարեգին:

3:55 Then he poured out all the fury of his ire on that blessed man, whose name was Garegin:

3:56 Կապեալ ոտիւք եւ կապեալ ձեռաւք զերկեամ մի տուաւ ի չարչարանս, եւ հանեալ ի բաց զտէրութիւնն ի նմանէ՝ ընկալաւ զվճիռ մահու:

3:56 Bound hand and foot he was given over to torture for two years, and deprived of his princely rank, he received sentence of death:
