36:1 Դարձեալ, ի [ՆԼԷ] թուականին նոյն Եգիպտացւոց ամիրայն՝ որդի Ազազին, յետ մեռանելոյ հաւր նորա զաւր գումարեալ սաստկագոյն քան զհայրն իւր յԵրուսաղեմէ եւ ի Բաբելոնէ եւ առաքէ յաշխարհն Յունաց:

36:1 In [437=988], the son of the same Egyptian Amir Azaz, after the death of his father, having gathered an army more numerous than his father in Jerusalem and Babylon, again sent him to the Greek land:

36:2 Այս Բաբելոն ոչ է այն, որ յերկրին Սենէար ի Քաղդէացւոց աշխարհին, ուր աշտարակն շինեցաւ, զոր Նաբուգոդոնոսոր՝ որդին Նաբուպալասարայ ի [ԺԵ] ամ պարսպեաց, որ այժմ փոխեալ տեղւոյ քաղաքին սակաւ բացագոյն՝ Բաղդատ անուանի. այլ է սա բերդ իմն յերկրին Եգիպտացւոց, Բաբելոն անուանեալ, որպէս պատմէ Եպիփան ի գիրսն ականց. որ այժմ արքունիք շինեալ՝ մեծացաւ անուամբ. յորմէ ելեալ զաւրն՝ գան յաւարի առնուլ զկողմանս Անտիոքու Ասորւոց:

36:3 Որոց ընդդէմ երթեալ հրամանաւ արքային Յունաց մաժիստռոսն Դալասանոս՝ պատերազմեցաւ ընդ նոսա եւ պարտեալ ի փախուստ դարձուցանէր. եւ ապա զաւարաւ բանակին եղեալ զաւրն Յունաց:

36:4 Եւ տաճիկ զաւրուն ընդ կրուկն դարձեալ ի վերայ նոցա՝ քաջաձիգ աղեղամբք եւ կորովատէգ նիզակաւք սուսերահար արարեալ զզաւրն Յունաց:

36:5 Եւ մեռաւ մաժիստռոսն Դալասանոս եղբարբն եւ որդւովն, եւ այլ ամենայն զաւրն ի փախուստ դառնային: Եւ զյոլովս ի նոցանէ ձերբակալ արարեալ՝ տանէին ընդ այլսն եւ զՉորտուանէլ պատրիկն՝ եղբաւրորդին Թոռնկայ աբեղայի:
