11:1 Եւ ի ձեռն առեալ այնուհետեւ աստուածագործ մշակութեամբ զաւետարանական արուեստն՝ ի թարգմանել, ի գրել եւ յուսուցանել:

11:1 And from then on continuing with the husbandry of God’s work, they began with the evangelical art - to translate, to write, and to teach:

11:2 մանաւանդ հայեցեալ ի տեառնաբարբառ հրամանացն բարձրութիւնն, որ առ երանելին Մովսէս եկեալ, վասն ամենայն իրացն եղելոց, յաստուածեղէն պատգամացն բարձրութիւն աւանդելոցն՝ մատենագրել առ ի պահեստ յաւիտեանցն որ գալոցն էին. նոյնպիսիք եւ այլոց մարգարէիցն հրամայեալք:

11:2 especially since they had before their eyes the Lord’s lofty commands and God’s lofty Commandments which were given to blessed Moses concerning all the things that were - so as to be inscribed in a book to be preserved for the eternity to come, as well as similar commands which had been given to other prophets:

11:3 Առ, ասէ, քարտէզ նոր մեծ, եւ գրեա՛ ի նմա գրչաւ դպրի»: Եւ այլուր, թէ՝ «Գրեա՛ զտեսիլդ ի տախտակի, եւ ի գիրս հաստատեա»: Իսկ Դաւիթ յայտնապէս եւս վասն ամենայն ազգաց՝ զվիճակ աստուածատուր աւրինացն նշանակէ ասելովն, թէ:

11:3 Take thee a great roll,” said He, “and write in it with a scribe’s pen.” And elsewhere: “Now go, write it on a tablet, and inscribe it in a book.” But David indicates even more clearly that the divine law shall apply to all nations, by saying:

11:4 Գրեսցի յազգ այլ»: Եւ թէ՝ Տէր պատմեսցէ գրովք ժողովրդոց»: Զոր եկեալ կատարեաց ամենափրկիչն Քրիստոս շնորհատուր հրամանաւն, եթէ՝ «Ելէք ընդ ամենայն ազգս». եւ եթէ:

11:4 This shall be written for the generation to come,” and that “The Lord shall count when he writes up the people,” which in His coming Christ fulfilled by His gracious commandment:

11:5 Քարոզեսցի աւետարանս ընդ ամենայն տիեզերս»: Ուստի եւ երանելի հարցն մերոց համարձակութիւն առեալ՝ յուսալից փութով եւ երեւելի եւ արդիւնակատար ըստ աւետարանին՝ զիւրեանց մշակութիւնն ցուցանեն:

11:5 Go ye therefore and teach all nations,” and that “this gospel shall be preached in all the world.” Thus, our blessed fathers, having obtained permission, rendered their work, through hopeful endeavor, manifest and fruitful as the gospel:

11:6 Յայնմ ժամանակի երանելի եւ ցանկալի աշխարհս Հայոց անպայման սքանչելի լինէր. յորում յանկարծ ուրեմն աւրէնսուսոյց Մովսէս՝ մարգարէական դասուն, եւ յառաջադէմն Պաւղոս՝ բովանդակ առաքելական գնդովն, հանդերձ աշխարհակեցոյց աւետարանաւն Քրիստոսի, միանգամայն եկեալ հասեալ ի ձեռն երկուց հաւասարելոցն՝ հայաբարբառք հայերէնախաւսք գտան:

11:6 At that time our blessed and wonderful land of Armenia became truly worthy of admiration, where by the hands of two colleagues, suddenly, in an instant, Moses, the law-giver, along with the order of the prophets, energetic Paul with the entire phalanx of the apostles, along with Christ’s world-sustaining gospel, became Armenian speaking:

11:7 Անդ էր այնուհետեւ սրտալիր ուրախութիւն եւ ակնավայել տեսիլ հայելւոյն: Քանզի երկիր, որ համբաւուցն անգամ աւտար էր կողմանցն այնոցիկ, յորում ամենայն աստուածագործ սքանչելագործութիւնքն գործեցան:

11:7 What heart-warming joy existed there thenceforth, and what a pleasant scene for the eyes! For a land which had not known even the name of the regions where all those wonderful divine acts had been performed:

11:8 առժամայն վաղվաղակի ամենայն իրացն եղելոց խելամուտ լինէր. ոչ միայն ժամանակաւ պաշտեցելոցն, այլ եւ յառաջագոյն յաւիտենիցն, եւ ապա եկելոցն, սկզբանն եւ կատարածի, եւ ամենայն աստուածատուր աւանդութեանցն:

11:8 soon learned all the things that were, not only those that had transpired in time, but that of the eternity which had preceded, and those that had come later, the beginning and the end and all the divine traditions:
