25:0 Յաղագս թէ զիարդ արշաւեաց արքայն Արշակ յերկիրն Պարսից, եւ քանդէր եւ հարկանէր զբանակն Շապհոյ արքային ի Թաւրէշ:

25:0 How king Arshak of Armenia invaded the country of Iran and ruined the Atrpatakan country; how he pulled apart, struck, and destroyed, and how he seized the camp of king Shapuh in Tawresh:

25:1 Ապա զօրաժողով լինէր Արշակ արքայ Հայոց, եւ կուտէր առ ինքն զօրս բազումս իբրեւ զաւազ բազմութեամբ, եւ խաղայր ի վերայ աշխարհին Պարսից:

25:1 King Arshak of Armenia then mustered troops, surrounding himself with a host as incalculable as the sand, and went against the land of Iran:

25:2 Ապա առնոյր Վասակ զգունդն Հայոց, եւ զՀոնսն հանդերձ Ալանօքն կոչել յօգնականութիւն, եւ հասանէր դիմէր յօգնականութիւն թագաւորութեանն Հայոց ի վերայ Պարսից:

25:2 Vasak took the Armenian brigade and summoned the Honk and the Alans to come to assist the Armenian kingdom against Iran:

25:3 Այլ թագաւորն Պարսից հանդերձ ամենայն իւրովք զօրօքն ի ժամանակի անդ յայնմիկ քանզի եւ նա խաղացեալ գայր ի վերայ Հայաստան երկրին ընդդէմ սոցա, ապա սոքա փութացեալք հասանէին յԱտրպատական, եւ գտանէին զբանակն արքային Պարսից ի Թաւրէշ բանակեալ:

25:3 At the same time the king of Iran was coming with all of his troops to go against the country of Armenia. The Armenians quickly reached Atrpatakan and found the banak of the Iranian king encamped at Tawresh:

25:4 Հասանէր Վասակ սպարապետն հանդերձ քսան բիւրուքն, անկանէր ի վերայ բանակին Պարսից:

25:4 Sparapet Vasak went against the Iranian banak with [200000] troops and fell upon them:

25:5 Միաձի ճողոպրեալ թագաւորն փախչէր, եւ առնուին յաւարի զամենայն կարաւանն Պարսից. եւ զամենայն զօրս Պարսից բազմութեանն կոտորեցին, եւ առին աւար բազում ի բանակէն` զի ոչ գոյր նոցա թիւ:

25:5 The king escaped by a hairsbreadth fleeing on a horse, and the Armenians took the loot of the entire Iranian caravan. They killed all the troops of the Iranian multitude, taking so much loot from the banak that there was no counting it:

25:6 Ասպատակ տուեալ առնուին զամենայն Ատրպայական երկիրն. քանդեալ բրէին զերկիրն, մինչեւ ի հիմանց կործանէին. եւ խաղացուցանէին զգերութիւն երկրին քան զաստեղս բազմութեամբ:

25:6 They raided the entire Atrpayakan country, demolishing, and digging up the country, destroying to the foundations. And they took more captives from the country than there are stars:

25:7 Եւ զամենայն զայր երկրին հանէին ընդ սուր. եւ ինքեանք զգուշացեալք սահմանօք երկրին իւրեանց, պահ արկեալ պահէին մեծաւ զգուշութեամբ:

25:7 They put all the men of the country to the sword. Then they carefully watched over the borders of their country with great caution:
