9:1 Արդ՝ իբրեւ ժողովեալք միահամուռ ի պաշտաւնարան տեղւոյն յարկի տանն Աստուծոյ կային՝ խաւսել սկսաւ երանելին Գրիգորիոս եւ ասէ. «Դի՛ք ծունր ամենեքեան, զի արասցէ Տէր բժշկութիւն հարուածոցդ:

9:1 Now when they had assembled in the place of worship in the House of God, the blessed Gregory began to speak, saying: “All of you bend the knee so that the Lord may work healing for your injuries:
|
9:2 Եւ եդեալ ծունր ամենեցուն առ Աստուած, եւ երանելւոյն Գրիգորի մեծաւ աղաւթիւք եւ պաղատանաւք խնդրեալ ուժգին ճգնութեամբ եւ արտասուաւք վասն թագաւորին բժշկութեան:

9:2 Then they all kneeled to God, and then the blessed Gregory with great prayers and pleas, through his strong asceticism and in tears, begged for the king’s healing:

9:3 Եւ թագաւորն մինչ դեռ կայր ի տեսիլ կերպարանաց խոզի ընդ ժողովրդեանն՝ յանկարծակի հարեալ զդողման, եւ զխորխն խոզի արտաքոյ մարմնոյն իւրոյ ի բաց ընկենոյր, ժանդատեսիլ ժանեաւքն եւ կնճթադէմ երեսաւքն հանդերձ. խոզանացեալ մազովն թաւութեամբ զխորխացեալ կաշին ի բաց ընկենոյր:

9:3 The king, while standing there among the people with the appearance of a pig, suddenly trembled and the pig-like skin fell off his body along with the tusk-like teeth and snout-like face. The thick, bristle-like hair which had attached to his skin, also fell off:

9:4 Եւ դէմք երեսացն դարձան յիւր իսկ կերպարանսն, եւ մարմինն փափկացեալ մատաղացեալ լինէր իբրեւ զառաւրեայ մանկան ծնելոյ, եւ ողջանդամ մարմնովքն ամենեւին բժշկեցաւ:

9:4 His face returned to its own form and the skin of his body became soft, like that of a newly-born infant. He was completely healed in all his limbs:

9:5 Սոյնպէս եւ ամենայն մարդիկն, որ էին բազմութիւնք կուտեալք՝ յիւրաքանչիւր ախտից թաւթափեալք. ոմանք բորոտք, եւ ոմանք անդամալոյծք եւ գաւսացեալք, եւ ջրգողեալք որովայնիւք, եւ դիւահարք, եւ գոնճացեալք, եւ պատագրոսք:

9:5 Similarly, all the people who were gathered in their multitude, shook off their ailments, each one of them. These included lepers, paralytics, those dried up in their limbs, those with dropsy, those possessed, those with scurvy, or with gout:

9:6 Եւ այսպէս բացեալ շնորհացն մարդասիրին Քրիստոսի զիւր ամենակար բժշկարանն՝ բժշկել զամենեսին ի ձեռն Գրիգորի, ախտացեալքն թաւթափէին յիւրաքանչիւր հիւանդութեանց:

9:6 Thus opened the almighty healing grace of merciful Christ to cure everyone by Gregory’s hand. All the afflicted ones shook off their ailments:

9:7 Սոյնպէս եւ բացեալ լինէր աղբիւր գիտութեանն Քրիստոսի, զլսելիս ամենեցուն լնուլ ճշմարտապատում վարդապետութեամբն Աստուծոյ:

9:7 And thus opened the fountain of the knowledge of Christ, as the ears of all of them became full of the true teaching of God:
|
9:8 Անդ էր այնուհետեւ սրտալիր ուրախութիւն, եւ ակնավայել տեսիլ հայեցելոցն:
|
9:8 Thereafter there was heartfelt joy and such panoramas that pleased the eye:
|
9:9 Քանզի երկիր, որ եւ համբաւուցն անգամ աւտար էր կողմանցն այնոցիկ, յորում ամենայն աստուածագործ սքանչելութիւնքն գործեցան՝ առ ժամայն վաղվաղակի իրացն եղելոց խելամուտ լինէր. ոչ միայն առ ժամանակաւն պաշտելոցն, այլ եւ յառաջակարգ յաւիտեանցն եւ յապա եկելոցն, եւ սկզբանն եւ կատարածի, եւ ամենայն աստուածատուր աւանդութեանցն:

9:9 For the country, which previously had been ignorant even of the news about all the divine miracles which had occurred in foreign places, now suddenly became cognizant of them. And this was not only about current developments, but also about earlier tidings and what followed, about the beginning of Christianity and its developments, and all the divine traditions:

9:10 Իսկ իբրեւ զչափ առեալ զիրացն հաստատութեան՝ համարձակագոյն եւ առաւելագոյն զաշակերտութիւն նորագիւտ վարդապետութեանն խմբէին ուսուցանել, թեքել եւ պատրաստական քարոզութեանն անգէտ մարդկանն յաւրինել:

9:10 Now when they saw the stability of these things, there were more students and they were more open and eager to assemble to study the new doctrine. As ignorant folk, they became more inclined to be instructed in this preaching:

9:11 Որոց եւ ինքեանք իսկ ի կողմանց կողմանց եւ ի գաւառաց գաւառաց Հայաստան աշխարհին՝ յորդեալք եւ դրդեալք հասանէին ի բացեալ աղբիւրն շնորհաց գիտութեանն Քրիստոսի:

9:11 From all parts and districts of the land of the Armenians, great numbers of people eagerly thronged to this fountain which had opened, this source of the grace and knowledge of Christ:

9:12 Քանզի յԱյրարատեան գաւառին, ի թագաւորանիստ կայեանսն, բղխեցին Հայոց տանն Թորգոմայ շնորհք քարոզութեան Աւետարանին պատուիրանացն Աստուծոյ:

9:12 For the grace of the preaching of the Gospel of God’s commandments gushed forth in the district of Ayrarat at the royal residence of the Armenian House of Torgom:
