90:0 Եւ խաւսեցեալ զայս ամենայն բանս Մամիկոնենին Վահանայ ընդ Շապհոյ խորհրդեան դպրի եւ ընդ Միհր-Վշնասպայ Ճուարշացւոյ` յուղարկեաց զնոսա:	90:0 When Vahan Mamikonean had said all these words to Shapuh, the council scribe, and to Mihr-Vshnasp Chuarshac’i, he sent them away:
90:1 առաքեաց եւ Մամիկոնեանն Վահան ընդ պատգամաւորսն Նիխորոյ եւ յիւր ուխտակցացն զՅաշկուր Արծրունի եւ զՍահակ Կամսարականն, զերանելւոյ զԱրշաւրայ զորդի, եւ զՎասաւուրտ Կարքային, եւ զԱռաւան Աղբեւրկացի եւ զՊաճոկ ի Մարդպետական գնդէն:	90:1 Along with Nixor’s messengers, Vahan Mamikonean sent the following oath-keepers: Yashkur Arcruni, Sahak Kamsarakan, son of the venerable Arshawir, Vasawurt Kark’ayin, Arhawan Aghbewrkac’i, and Pachok, from the Mardpetakan brigade:
90:2 Եւ հրաժարեալ զամենեսեան զնոսա Մամիկոնենին Վահանայ` արձակէր խաղաղութեամբ առ Նիխոր:	90:2 Vahan Mamikonean bid them all farewell and sent them in peace to Nixor:
90:3 Եւ երթեալ նոցա առ Նիխոր ի գաւառն ի Հեր, եւ տեսեալ Նիխորոյ զՀայերն, որ չոքան առ նա ի Մամիկոնենէն Վահանայ` ամենայաւժար սրտիւ խնդութեամբ ուրախացաւ:	90:3 They went to Nixor in the district of Her. When Nixor saw the Armenians, who had come to him from Vahan Mamikonean, with a happy heart he rejoiced delightedly:
90:4 Եւ հրաման տուեալ ընթրեացն` ընկալաւ զնոսա բազում գոհութեամբ եւ յոյժ սիրով, յիշելով հանապազ ըստ ամենայն բաժակի զքաջ Մամիկոնեանն Վահան. եւ կատարեալ զուրախալից ընթրիսն` գնային յիւրաքանչիւր վանս:	90:4 He ordered a diner and received them with much thanks and great affection, always recalling with each cup the brave Vahan Mamikonean. When the happy meal was finished, each went to his lodging:
90:5 Եւ ընդ առաւաւտն ժողովեցան ամենայն ատեանն Պարսկաց առաջի Նիխորոյ, եւ աստուածուրաց մարդիկն որ անդ էին. եկեալ եւ պատգամաւորքն որ ի Նիխորոյ առ Մամիկոնեանն Վահան երթեալ էին, Շապուհ եւ Միհր-Վշնասպն, եւ հայ նախարարքն եւ այլ արքն ի Մամիկոնենէն Վահանայ որ ընդ նոսա էին:	90:5 In the morning, all the Iranian atean assembled before Nixor, as well the God-forsaken (Zoroastrian Armenians) who were there. Then came the messengers who had been sent by Nixor to Vahan Mamikonean: Shapuh and Mihr-Vshnasp, and the Armenian naxarars and other men with them who were sent by Vahan Mamikonean:
90:6 Եւ տուեալ զպատգամն Մամիկոնեանն Վահանայ` Շապհոյ եւ Միհր-Վշնասպայ առաջի ամենայն ատենին յայտնապէս:	90:6 Shapuh and Mihr-Vshnasp gave Vahan Mamikonean’s message openly, before everyone at the atean:
90:7 Եւ լուեալ Նիխորոյ զամենայն զբանսն եւ զխաւսս Մամիկոնենին Վահանայ, եւ խնդալից եղեալ` ասաց առաջի ամենեցուն, թէ «Ամենայն բանքդ այդ եւ պատգամդ զոր յղեալ է Վահանայ` արդարեւ աստուածոց արժանի. քանզի որպէս անմեղ են մարդիկն այն, զորս բռնի տարաւ Պերոզն եւ Հեփթաղին կոտորեալ ետ, եւ զամենայն զարիւնն զայն աստուածքն ի Պերոզի գլխոյն խնդրելոց են` նոյնպէս անվնաս է Վահանն յամենայն իւր իրքս, զոր խորհեցաւ եւ գործեաց. զի ի բռնութենէ չարութեանն Պերոզի գործեաց, եւ ոչ իւրով կամաւ:	90:7 When Nixor heard all the words of Vahan Mamikonean, he rejoiced in front of all of them, saying: “All the words and message sent by Vahan are indeed befitting of the gods. For just as the men who were forcibly taken by Peroz and killed by the Hepthalites were innocent (and the gods will demand their blood from Peroz) so too Vahan is guiltless in all the things he planned and did. For he operated because of the tyranny of Peroz’ wickedness, and not on his own will:
90:8 Եւ ես մինչեւ ցայսաւր չ էի մխիթարեալ ի մեծ բեկմանէն որ եհաս Արեաց աշխարհին. բայց այդ լուր ուրախացուցեալ մխիթարեաց զիս այսաւր:	90:8 To this day I have not been consoled over the great destruction visited upon the land of the Aryans:
90:9 Բայց տացեն աստուածքն եւ զաւրն տեսանել, որ Վահան յիմ ձեռն նուաճեալ` Արեաց ի ծառայութիւն հնազանդի:	90:9 But this news has joyfully consoled me today. May the gods let me see the day when Vahan has been reconciled to me and accepts Aryan service:
90:10 Եւ խաւսեցեալ զայս այսպէս Նիխորոյ առաջի ամենայն ատենին, եւ լուեալ զայս ուխտապահ նախարարացն Հայոց եւ այլ արանց, որ եկեալ էին ի Վահանայ Մամիկոնենէ` տային փառս Աստուծոյ, յորոյ ձեռս են սիրտք իշխանաց, եւ որպէս ինքն կամի` տայ բարբառել նոցա:	90:10 Thus did Nixor speak before the entire atean, and when the oath-keeping Armenian naxarars and the other men who had come from Vahan Mamikonean heard this, they glorified God in Whose hands are the hearts of princes, and as He wills it, so He has them speak:
90:11 Կոչէր այնուհետեւ վաղվաղակի Նիխոր զնոյն պատգամաւորս, զՇապուհ խորհրդեան դպիր եւ զՄիհր-Վշնասպ Ճուարշացի, եւ գրէր նամակ առ Մամիկոնեանն Վահան աւրինակ զայս:	90:11 Then Nixor immediately summoned the same messengers, Shapuh the council dpir and Mihr-Vshnasp Cuarshac’i, and wrote a letter to Vahan Mamikonean with the following import:
90:12 Լուայ, ասէ, զամենայն զխաւսեցեալսն քո ի պատգամաւորացն, զոր ես առաքեցի առ քեզ. եւ գրեցի բովանդակ զնոյն բանս քո ի նամակիդ, ծանուցանել քեզ, թէ արդարեւ խաւսեցան ընդ իս զամենայն, եւ լուայ:	90:12 I have heard all your words from the messengers whom I sent to you. I have repeated your words in this letter to let you know that indeed they have relayed all of it to me, and that I listened:
90:13 Արդ` արի՛ ե՛կ առ իս վստահութեամբ, եւ զամենայն խնդիրս քո, զոր ի ձեռն դոցա յղեցեր առ իս, եւ այլ ինչ զոր դու ասես` ուխտեալ է Արեաց տեառնն եւ ամենայն Արեաց աւագանւոյ` տալ լիով եւ կատարել. եւ զքեզ եւ որ ընդ քեզ են, որպէս քո կամք են` Արեաց տէրն շքեղ առնէ եւ արձակէ ի Հայս:	90:13 Now come, come to me in surety and the lord of the Aryans and all the Aryan nobility swear to grant and fully implement all the demands which you have sent to me via these men. And then the lord of the Aryans will—as you wish—exalt you and those with you and send you back to Armenia:
90:14 Եւ զնախարարսն որ եկեալ էին ի Մամիկոնենէն Վահանայ` սիրով ընկալեալ Նիխորայ եւ պատուեալ` արձակէր ընդ պատգամաւորս իւր առ Մամիկոնեանն Վահան. մեծաւ պատուիրելով յանձնէր նոցա` վաղվաղակի եւ անյապաղ ածել զՄամիկոնեանն Վահան. եւ հրաժարեալ զնոսա Նիխորոյ` արձակէր սիրով:	90:14 Nixor, having affectionately received and honored the naxarars who had come from Vahan Mamikonean, sent them to Vahan Mamikonean, with his own messengers. With much urging, he charged them to bring Vahan Mamikonean quickly and without delay. Then, biding them farewell, he dispatched them affectionately:
90:15 Եւ տեսեալ զայն աստուածուրաց խաբեբայիցն, որք ի միաբանութեան Պարսկացն էին, թէ ո՛րպէս յապստամբացն եկեալ Հայք ի Նիխորոյ պատուեալք եւ մեծարեցան ի Պարսկացն, եւ ինքեանք արհամարհեալք են իբրեւ զանպիտանս` դարձեալք լի ամաւթով յերկիր կործանէին:	90:15 When those God-denying cheaters who had allied with the Iranians saw how the rebels who had come from Armenia were honored by Nixor and exalted by the Iranians, and that they themselves were scorned as useless, they filled up with shame and sank into the ground:
90:16 Եւ տեսեալ զայն ուխտապահ նախարարացն Հայոց եւ այլոցն որ ընդ նոսա էին` ակն արկեալ ցուցանէին միմեանց զկորանս նոցա:	90:16 When the oath-keeping naxarars of Armenia and the others with them saw that, they indicated their opprobrium to each other with their eyes:
90:17 Իսկ մի ոմն ի յուխտապահացն ասէ ցնոսա. «Զի եթէ լոկ ի բանիցն խաւսելոյ ընդ մեզ սիրով Նիխորոյ զձեաւք այդպէս ամպ մթագին եւ շափառուկ անկաւ, եւ չ երեւիք ի գետնոյդ, իսկ յորժամ շնորհեսցէ Քրիստոս, եւ տեսանիցէք փառաւորեալ զՄամիկոնեանն Վահան եւ զայլ ուխտապահսն որ ընդ նմա են փառաւքն, զոր տալոց է Քրիստոս` խորտակիցիք իսկ արդեաւք եւ հեղձանիցիք. այլ ի մեծի աւուր յանշէջ գեհենին զի՞նչ արդեաւք գործիցէք հէքքդ եւ թշուառականքդ:	90:17 And one of the oath-keepers said to them: “If it is only the fact that Nixor spoke to us affectionately that has caused such a dark cloud and sadness to come upon you and to make you vanish into the ground, then when Christ favors, and you see Vahan Mamikonean and the other oath-keepers with him glorified, with glory given by Christ, will you not crumble and choke?” And on the great day when (you encounter) the unquenchable Gehenna, what will you miserable wretches do then:
90:18 Եւ զայս ասացեալ առն` գնային ընդ պատգամաւորսն Նիխորոյ առ Մամիկոնեանն Վահան:	90:18 When the man had said this, they went to Vahan Mamikonean with Nixor’s messengers:
90:19 Եւ հասեալ պատգամաւորացն Նիխորոյ առ Մամիկոնեանն Վահան եւ մատուցեալ զնամակն Նիխորոյ, եւ յայնմանէ գիտաց ի գրելոցն, թէ լուեալ տեղեկացաւ Նիխոր ի պատգամաւորացն զամենայն յղեալսն իւր առ նա, եւ ոչ էր բան յամենայն խաւսիցն Մամիկոնենին Վահանայ` զոր թէ չ էր թուեալ Նիխորոյ:	90:19 When Nixor’s messengers had reached Vahan Mamikonean and delivered Nixor’s letter, (Vahan) learned from what was written that Nixor had been informed by the messengers of all that he had sent him and that there was nothing in any of Vahan Mamikonean’s statements that Nixor had ignored:
90:20 Ի պատգամաւորացն տեղեկացեալ ծանեաւ եւ զայն, թէ ո՛րպէս խնդութեամբ եւ սիրով ընկալեալ զնախարարսն մեծարեաց Նիխոր. պատմեցին եւ զչարաչար կորանս ուրացողացն ջոկոյ, եւ թէ ո՛րպէս կարի եւ փութով զերթս քո խնդրէ փափաքելով. զոր եւ պատգամաւորացն Նիխորոյ ստիպով հաւանեցուցանէին զնա երթալ:	90:20 He also learned from the messengers about how Nixor had so delightedly and affectionately received and exalted the naxarars. They also described the wicked humiliation of the oath-breakers’ brigade, and how very much his going there was desired. And Nixor’s messengers convinced him to go quickly:
